This is a large, capacious, beautiful sugar bowl with bold, bright colours. The lid and rim feature a lovely deep lily green glaze, and the design is a gorgeous Blue Wren in a gum branch, with fiery orange-red blossoms and gumnuts, making it a striking table piece. The lid is entire, with no spoon hole, making it “ant-proof” and also making it usable as a small canister or storage jar- ideal for nibblies, jewellery, spare change, etc.
Our distinctive look is achieved by only glazing the design, rim and lid of this piece, providing a dramatic contrast to the natural "sandstone" colour of our local clay. The inside of the sugar bowl is fully glazed with a clear glaze, so it is usable.
We ship to most countries, please ask us for a quote. We take extra special care with padding and boxing to make sure the piece will be amply protected.
Please contact us if you would like to order a variation on this style of sugar bowl. We do lots of variations on the Blue Wren theme, with different native blooms and colour schemes. Other designs such as the Waratah or the Gecko also suit this type of item, and we have a smaller size as well. Enquiries are welcome.

Barkala Farm and the adjoining Nature Reserve are home to over 120 bird species, many of which can be heard (and seen) early in the morning or as the sun cools. In mild weather, the birds will be active all day. Morning walkers will generally be accompanied by a mixture of common and more unusual species. |
